Bespoke navy blue suit with a minimalist checkmark logo for Indochino Review 2026

Is Indochino Still Worth It in 2026? The 10-Year Quality Audit

The landscape of custom tailoring has changed. In 2017, Indochino was the “wild west” of online MTM—insane deals, hit-or-miss fit, and a disruptive $300 price point. Fast forward to 2026, and the brand is a global retail giant with a different identity.

As someone who has audited Indochino since the early days, here is the unfiltered reality of buying a custom suit today.

1. The Price Reality: The $300 Suit is Dead

The biggest shock for returning customers is the price tag. Driven by global tariffs and increased labor costs, a standard Indochino suit now starts at $599 USD. While frequent sales can bring this down to $449, the days of the sub-$400 “steal” are largely over.

2. Construction Audit: Consistency vs. Craftsmanship

Indochino has traded “craftsmanship” for “process.”

  • The Good: Their digital measurement algorithm has become incredibly accurate. If you get measured in a showroom, your first-fit success rate is now much higher than it was in 2017.
  • The Bad: The construction remains primarily fused (glued). While durable for the office, it lacks the drape and longevity of a half-canvas suit you might find at StudioSuits or SuitSupply for a similar price.

3. The Showroom Factor: Why it’s now Mandatory

In 2017, I reviewed suits based on self-measurements. In 2026, I no longer recommend measuring yourself. Indochino’s business model has shifted toward the “Omnichannel” experience. Their stores are now the “brains” of the fit. If you don’t live near a showroom, the risk of a “404 Fit Error” is still too high.

The 2026 Verdict

Buy Indochino if: You want a streamlined, modern experience, live near a showroom, and can catch a seasonal sale (aim for $450).

Skip Indochino if: You are looking for traditional tailoring “soul” or if you want high-end fabrics like Irish Tweed—you’ll find better leverage at StudioSuits or Spier & Mackay.
