Indochino Complaints & Reddit Reviews: Fit Problems in Context

Two older Reddit discussions and the 2013 reader survey, separated from today’s fit-help policy: what the evidence supports and what to check before ordering.

A complaint thread can tell you what to check

A badly fitting wedding suit is a memorable story. It is also one person’s order. When reading Indochino complaints on Reddit, separate the reported problem, the response the buyer received and the policy that applies to an order placed today.

This guide uses two older Reddit discussions, the site’s 2013 reader survey and current official fit-help guidance. It does not measure today’s complaint rate or rank the most common problems across all customers. For my broader ownership-based verdict, start with the current Indochino review.

Two older Reddit discussions, with their limits

An oversized suit before a wedding

In an archived wedding-suit discussion, the buyer described an oversized jacket and trousers, plus differences from the pictured colours. A later update said the showroom could not assure completion before the wedding. Other commenters disagreed about how much alteration the suit needed.

The exact publication date was not established in this check. This older discussion illustrates the consequence of an unresolved fit near an event, not a current delivery estimate or a verified technical diagnosis from this site.

Short trousers and a disputed claim deadline

In another archived thread, a buyer reported trousers too short and said support refused a remedy under a ten-day rule. Comments also included buyers who reported satisfactory alterations and later orders.

The buyer’s description of an earlier deadline is not today’s policy: the official help page checked on 10 October 2026 states a 14-day window, with different instructions for showroom visits and remote claims.

Both discussions were read on 10 October 2026. These are unverified customer accounts selected for their specific issues, not a representative sample. Support records, order details and later outcomes were not independently obtained.

Fit problems: identify the fault before choosing the remedy

A trouser hem that needs shortening is different from a jacket whose shoulders or balance feel wrong. Photograph the garment from the front, side and back in a natural stance, then describe what happens when you sit and move. Ask the showroom or support team to explain what they propose to correct and what would require another garment.

Do not infer that a remake is guaranteed because someone on Reddit received one. Ask about your order’s options and expected dates. If the suit is for a fixed event, keep an alternative in view until the corrected garment has been checked.

Our showroom directory can help locate the official booking pages. It does not rate the staff or promise a particular fitting outcome.

What the current fit-help policy says

Indochino’s official fit-help page tells customers near a showroom to visit within 14 days of receipt and keep tags attached. If no appointment is available, contact the branch or Customer Experience promptly. Customers away from a showroom must contact Customer Experience within 14 days to open a claim. The published policy does not offer returns or refunds for made-to-measure garments.

Read those instructions before ordering, then try on promptly when the parcel arrives. An old forum comment, including a reported exception, does not establish the terms of your purchase. Keep the order confirmation, delivery record and support correspondence.

What my 2013 survey actually showed

The June 2013 survey results thanked 100 participants and explicitly said the sample was not representative of Indochino’s customer base. The published summary reported that almost 80% needed alterations on their first suit, 35% needed a remake and more than 70% would recommend Indochino.

Those figures describe that self-selected group in 2013. They do not establish your chance of needing a correction in 2026, and recommendation is not the same measure as first-arrival fit.

There was also a defect-question problem: the survey omitted a “No” answer and interpreted skipped responses. I would not carry that result into a present-day quality score. The original results and charts remain available in the archive so readers can inspect what was actually asked.

Keep construction claims separate from fit complaints

A fit photo cannot establish the quality of every suit in a brand’s range. Equally, a familiar construction term does not prove that a garment fits or will hold up well.

The archived construction article records the site’s earlier investigation. Use the current review’s construction section for contemporary published details. This guide includes no new teardown or laboratory comparison.

Before you spend the money

  • Check the return and fit-help terms for the garment you are buying.
  • Work out where you could go for a correction, and the time and travel that would involve.
  • If your profile is untested, consider one garment before a larger order.
  • For a wedding, confirm the branch’s current planning guidance and leave room for corrections.
  • Save the exact fabric reference, chosen options and order confirmation.
  • Try on promptly and seek help while the applicable window is still open.

Use reviews to prepare questions, then judge the answers and the available remedy against your budget and deadline. A low price will not compensate for a suit you cannot wear when you need it. The offers page covers promotions separately; a coupon is not evidence of a better fit.

Sources and limits

Reddit supplies historical anecdotes, the 2013 survey supplies historical reader responses, and Indochino’s help page supplies the current published policy. No review-platform average, complaint-frequency ranking or claim that showroom access causes better outcomes is made. Positive comments have not been discarded simply because a thread began with a complaint.
